For lip filler injections, a 27G or 30G needle is typically recommended. The 30G provides more precision for fine detail work, while the 27G allows smoother product flow for volumization. Always use a cannula when possible to reduce bruising risk.
What about cannula size for cheek augmentation?
For cheek augmentation, a 25G or 22G cannula is ideal. The blunt tip reduces the risk of vascular occlusion and allows for smoother product distribution across the malar area.

He founded the Canadian College of Aesthetic Dermatology to bring that same clinical curriculum — and the same standards — to practitioners learning online.
